Services we provide:

Our Core Service: Historical Coordination:

As specialists in this sector, we can provide production management, historical consulting and a wide range of history-related production services. Often we function as subcontracting producers working under a client's production team to organize and manage the historical re-creations portion of a film shoot.

We can put together a production services team custom tailored to the client's needs - anything from deploying a complete self-contained "B unit" which we manage on the client's behalf to providing specific services on an ad hoc basis -- casting one actor, providing one key prop, helping you nail down a key location.

Project Budgeting & Planning:
We have lengthy experience in planning and budgeting film & TV shoots, with a particular emphasis on historical re-creations. How many shooting days does it take to do battle scenes? How can I schedule my project to save money and maximize resources? Are there tax or other benefits in shooting in different locations?

What should I budget for reenactor extras day rates and numbers? How many do we need to shoot my scene? Is there pre-existing stock footage out there that can cover my larger scenes? Can we get permission to shoot footage at a reenactment and will it look OK?

What kind of special effects are needed? Does the scenario involve any additional safety / insurance implications to be accounted for? What do gunfire-trained horses cost and what are their special needs? What does artillery cost? How about wagons? Boats? Antique vehicles? Where do we get a Sherman tank? Heck, where do we get Sherman?

These are the types of questions that we are routinely called upon to answer, thereby saving in-house line producers and UPMs considerable time, energy and money. We are proficient in EP / Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling software and speak the language not only of the production world but also of the world of living history re-creationists. In any area where we don't have "know how", we've got "know WHO".
